DANNY FISHMAN

An authority in the converging media space, Danny Fishman is known and respected for his accomplishments in the entertainment, digital media, advertising & marketing, and technology industries. For two decades, Fishman has been a highly successful serial entrepreneur leading multiple companies to exponential growth, category dominance, and financially lucrative exits.  Fishman’s personal network of direct brand and advertising agency relationships is truly unparalleled in the industry.  Over the course of his career, Fishman has developed, produced, marketed, and sold a variety of high profile original digital series that have been recognized with many prestigious awards including several Webby’s and the NATPE Digital Luminary Award.  Fishman was also named one of iMedia's 25 Internet Marketing Leaders and Innovators of 2013.

Fishman was most recently a Partner at Believe Entertainment Group, a digital entertainment company producing high-profile content in partnership with elite talent and distributing across a broad spectrum of digital platforms, including Web, mobile, VOD, and social media.  Prior to Believe, Danny served as President of Digital Broadcasting Group (DBG), a full service video production and distribution network. Under Fishman’s leadership DBG’s revenues grew exponentially and the company ranked #3 on Forbes 2011 List of America’s Most Promising Companies, leading to their 2013 acquisition by Alloy Digital (now Defy Media). Before DBG, Fishman was President of Broadband Enterprises (BBE), where his leadership drove exponential revenue growth which led to the company’s 2010 acquisition by Specific Media. Before that, he was Executive Vice President at iFilm, where he was responsible for all revenues while also overseeing the company’s brand shift and redesign, culminating in the company’s acquisition by MTV/Viacom in 2005. Fishman has also served as Vice President of Sales for Vyou.com, a Silicon Valley-based digital rights management technology firm, worked in the heart of the entertainment industry at Michael Ovitz’s Artists Management Group, and founded and sold Platinum Events/Millennium Promotions, a Chicago based events marketing & promotions company. Fishman also serves on a variety of corporate advisor boards.  Fishman holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin, a Juris Doctorate Degree from the John Marshall Law School, and is licensed to practice law in both California and Illinois.

DAVE LAVINE

Known for his ability to evangelize and build strong and profitable sales teams, Dave Lavine is a highly sought after media executive for start-ups as well as mid to large size businesses. He has built a national footprint of contacts across premium brands, agencies, and publishers and has experience ranging across search, display, branded entertainment, social, mobile and native advertising.  Based on his wide range of experience over the past two decades, he is often called on to evaluate product development, revenue models, strategic positioning and sales team structures.

Dave most recently served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Hone, a content marketing and native advertising technology company managing all aspects of revenue, business development, and acting as a strategic advisor to the CEO. Prior to Hone, he was the SVP of Sales at appssavvy, a pioneer in native advertising. Responsible for national revenue, as well as rebuilding and managing the sales team.  Prior to that he was SVP at Adconion Media Group, growing annual U.S. revenues from less than $3M to over $40M, which helped lead to the acquisition by Amobee. Prior to joining AMG, he served as the regional sales manager for Advertising.com in the Los Angeles office. As an advocate for the growth and expansion of online advertising, Mr. Lavine holds seats in many industry associations including thinkLA, BIG (Bay Area Interactive Group), NWIAG (Northwest Internet Advertising Group), 212, NY Advertising Club, IAB, AAAA, BIMA and CIMA (Boston/Chicago Interactive Media Association). He holds a B.S. from Fort Lewis College with a concentration in marketing and management and resides full-time in Los Angeles.

LOU KERNER

Lou is the Managing Partner of The Social Internet Fund, which invests in the primary and secondary shares of rapidly growing privately held social, mobile, cloud, security, and big data companies. The Fund’s investments include, Appia (acquired by Mandalay Digital), FireEye (FEYE:NASDAQ), Livefyre, LiveRamp (acquired by Axciom), Meetup, Optimal (acquired by Brand Networks) , Palantir, Scrib’d, and Yashi (acquired by NexStar). Lou is also a Managing Partner of The Israel Syndicate on AngelList, which invests in the shares of tech companies founded by Israelis, regardless of where they’re located.  Lou’s Israeli investments include Viewbix, IT Central Station, and Segmanta.  

Lou was previously Wall Street’s first private company equity analyst at Wedbush Securities, where he was the Managing Director of the Private Shares Group. At Wedbush, Lou started the first private shares trading desk on Wall Street. From 2003-2006 Lou was President/Owner of Bolt.com, a leading social network that grew from 500,000 monthly uniques to over 20 million uniques in three years. Prior to Bolt, Lou was the CEO of The .tv Corporation, an idealab company which licensed the top level domain (.tv) from the tiny island nation of Tuvalu.  From 2000-2002, .tv grew to over $20 million in revenue before being acquired by Verisign. Prior to .tv, Lou had a distinguished career as an equity analyst following media companies for Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. Lou began his career at Bain & Company, where he sat outside of Mitt Romney’s office. Lou is regularly quoted in tech stories in the WSJ, NY Times and other business publications, in addition to 100+ appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg Television. Lou has a B.A. from U.C.L.A. and an MBA from The Stanford Graduate School of Business.
